The woman was miraculously saved, but she lost an arm, a leg and the child she was pregnant with.
Kateryna’s husband was unharmed in the shelling and was able to carry his injured wife out of the house. Rescuers immediately took the woman to hospital. The woman was subsequently evacuated abroad for prosthetics and rehabilitation.
“Kateryna says her main goal now is to get treatment as soon as possible and return to Ukraine, as she wants to take her son to first-grade school in autumn,” the doctors add.
