The use of drones to search for mines significantly speeds up the process of demining
The Turkish Navy Command has begun using drones to search for mines planted by the Russian Black Sea Fleet in an attempt to block all naval movements between Odessa and the Bosphorus.
TAI Anka UAVs were used for this purpose, which use radars with a synthesized SAR aperture instead of an optical station. This is the MİLSAR SARMTI radar from Meteksan Defense, which allows you to find even small objects such as drifting mines, in any weather and regardless of the time of day.

The use of drones was announced by the Turkish Defense Industry Agency Savunma Sanayii Başkanlığı, who said that drone search missions in the Black Sea began in April.
It will be recalled that other Black Sea countries, such as Bulgaria and Romania, are actively pursuing landmines in their territorial waters.
